FAQ Accordion (EagleTrack)
- You can access the GPS Platform through the EagleTrack website homepage.
- Navigate to the homepage using the following link https://eagletracklive.com/ and click the Sign In button.
- At the next screen, enter your login email and password.
- Click “Sign in” and you will be logged into the GPS platform page.
- After logging in, to the left of the Live Map Interface screen, you will see a tab called Objects, deselect the Ungrouped checkbox.
- In the Search bar below Objects, manually enter the respective vehicle registration number you wish to view the status of.
- Selecting the intended vehicle will list the status of the aforementioned vehicle at the bottom of the screen.
There are four types of reports that can be generated:
- Stop Reports – to provide a list of all stops made by the vehicle with street address for each stop as well as the duration of a stop and duration of idling.
- Travel Sheet Custom – to provide a list of trips made by a vehicle over a specific period of time. The report is presented by providing Position A as the date / time and location when the ignition was switched on and Position B for the date / time and location when the ignition was switched off.
The report will also provide the durations spent parked at Point B and the duration spent to travel / move between both points. The Travel Sheet report can also provide an average and top speed between the trip.
- Over Speed – Using a set speed limit, the user can generate a report to determine if a vehicle has exceeded the set speed limit over a defined period of time. Street addresses can also be provided to aid in determining the location of this violation.
- Events – This report will detail all the events that occurred such as alerts and other sensor events that have been triggered over a defined period of time and for a specific vehicle or group of vehicles.
The historical report generated on a live map is a visual representation of all the trips for a vehicle that occurred over a specified period.
Definition of Terms:
Definition of Terms:
- Trip – movements of a vehicle between the period when the ignition is switched on and when it is switched off.
- Stop – when the vehicle ignition is on and not in motion.
- Parked – when the vehicle ignition is off and engine status is off.
- Idling – when the vehicle engine in on, vehicle is not in motion for more than 10 minutes.
- P – Symbol for Parked
- D – Symbol for Driving (movement)
- On the Live Map interface, select the History tab at the left of the screen.
- Click the dropdown box labelled Device.
- Manually search the respective vehicle registration number
- Using the From and To text fields, select the date and time(s) relevant to the period which you wish to generate the history report for and select Show History.
- After selecting “Show History”, the report will generate on the Live Map interaface as well as provide information on the left panel about each trip. The Left Panel will indicate the following: P – time vehicle ignition was switched off and duration parked D – time vehicle ignition was switched on and duration of movement.
Points of Interest are specific locations on a Map that can represent a commercial, residential or public place of interest. Such as, Company Sites, Malls, Bars, Community Centres, Police Stations and beaches. These points do not encompass the entire building and/or location of the place of interest but a specific spot as an identifying mark for reports and alert purposes.
- At the Live Map interface, select the tools Wrench icon and a drop-down menu will appear. Select the 6th option POI.
- The left-hand side panel of the screen will change to the POI option. Select the “+” sign.
- Once selected, the left-hand panel of the screen will change to allow the Administrator to enter a name for the POI, a description of the POI and use a marker indicator to represent the POI. Fill in the required information the text fields provided.
- Locate the exact spot on the Map in which you would like to create the POI (example building, road way, empty lot of land etc) and select the said spot. Once selected, the icon chosen from the previous step will appear on the Map directly over the spot you selected.

- Once selected and verified that the correct spot was selected, click on save. The POI will then be displayed under list of POI’s as well as appear on the Live Map. Users can then choose which POI to be displayed on the Live Map by selecting or deselecting the POI’s from the list.
Geo Fences are specific areas on a Map that can represent a commercial, residential or public place of interest. Such as, Company Sites, Malls, Bars, Community Centres, Police Stations and beaches. These points often cover the entire building and/or location of the place of interest. Geo fences are sometime irregular in shape to the location of the place of interest.
- In the Live Map interface, click the Wrench at the top right and select the second option Geofencing.
- The left-hand side panel of the screen will change to the Geo Fence option, select the “+” sign.
- Once selected, the left-hand panel of the screen will change to allow the Administrator to enter a name for the geo fence, the type of Geo Fence to draw, if to group same and to assign a specific colour if needed. Fill in the required information.
- Locate the exact spot on the Map in which you would like to create the Geo Fence (example building, road way, empty lot of land etc.) and then draw the Geo Fence by connecting the lines. Once selected, the Geo Fence will appear on the Map directly over the spot you’ve drawn.
- Once selected and verified that the correct area was selected, click on Save. The Geo Fence will then be displayed under list of Geo Fence, as well as appear on the Live Map. Users can choose which geo fence to be displayed on the Live Map by selecting or deselecting the geo fence from the list.
Alerts are notifications that have been triggered due to an event that occurred with a vehicle. These alerts can vary from speeding, enter and exit locations and unauthorized stops as well as notifying users if a vehicle and/or asset is not where it should be during or after a specific period (either hourly to weekday).
- In the Live Map interface, click the Wrench at the top right and select the first option Alerts.
- Select the “+” sign and then a pop-up window will appear with 6 tabs labelled “Devices, Type, Geo Fencing, Schedule, Notifications and Command”. Select the device or device group to apply the alert then move onto tab 2 – Type.
- Once completed the previous step and you have moved onto tab 2 (Type), select the type of alert you wish to create: a. Overspeed – speeding alert b. Stop Duration – Unauthorized Stop alert c. Idle Duration – Idle Alert d. Geo Fence In – Enter Jobsite / Geo Fence Alert e. Geo Fence Out – Exit Jobsite / Geo Fence Alert
- Select the Geo Fence Out option under Type and then select the specific Geo Fence to apply to the alert.
- Once you have selected the Geo Fence, move onto tab 4 – Schedule and select the check box then select the required day of the week and time to apply the alert. Note: Tab 3 Geo Fencing was skipped as the alert type was geo fence out and was required to choose a geo fence within tab hence not required to move onto tab 3.
- Move onto tab 5, Notifications and select the type of notification and enter the email address to notify of the notification.
- Review all information selected to finalize alert then click Save.
- Using your mouse, navigate to the Top Panel and select the option Tools – wrench icon and a drop-down box will appear.
- Select the option Reports from the drop-down menu.
- A pop up window will display and will require the user to enter various information in order to generate a report.
- Fill out the following information on the pop-up window: a. Report Type – Events b. Format – Excel or PDF c. Period – Date From and Date To (24 hours) d. Devices – All, A Group and a specific device. e. Select Option show addresses f. Select Generate
